TD-1 PCB Kit by Ajax-3D

PCB Kit for the "TD-1", created by Ajax.

These components will allow you to build your own TD-1 to obtain the “Transmission distance” of your filaments with great precision. 

The TD-1 value may vary between two spools of the same filament depending on the composition of the mixture or its production batch. It is then important to test your spools yourself to obtain the best value.

The data synchronizes easily and immediately with the HueForge software, and allows you to display very accurate previews of your projects before printing.

This tool has successfully completed all its development stages. Released in April 2024 for the first time, all units of the first wave were sold the same day.

The TD-1 can also attempt to detect the color of your filament, with more or less precision depending on the color range. Because it isn't the main feature of the TD-1, the color sensor isn't extremely precise, it will notably struggle with grey colors. It is then recommended to use hex codes from filaments manufacturers instead.

The light sensor for the TD-1 value remains of great precision and entirely reliable.

Note : you will need to print the case by yourself. It is recommended to use black filament for the internal parts.

 The PCB Kit grants you a licence to activate the TD-1.
